A book worth reading for the young and adventurous. Inspiring and insightful.
I actually met Sascha in Kampala, Uganda, in 2009, after he had walked several hundred kilometres through the DRC. Listening to his stories as to how the local government as, how the police tried to arrest him, and then asked him to use his phone to call their HQ, provided me with unique information as to how the DRC was at that time.
He's hungry for life, for experience, as witnessed in his book - a book that touches on a fraction of what he has experienced.
The stories Sascha tells us are really a way of vicarious travel, and then I say nothing about all the streetwise and border-dom info one gets. And I can only say cheers to his ultimate preference for Africa - Africa dances!
